Compact Accommodating Solar Abode

CASA is a self-deploying solar powered tent with a built-in air-conditioning system that can easily be maneuvered by one person .  CASA can be taken to any environment, whether it be a field, parking lot, or a gymnasium. Its self-deploying feature creates an easy and convenient way to create the shelter, with no hassle of the set up. We designed CASA to be solar powered so that it can sustain itself outside of a grid. To avoid the harsh conditions of the outdoors, we integrated an air-conditioning system to provide maximum comfort. Putting all of this in one package, CASA is the ideal shelter for outdoor living.  

 

This project is a proof of concept, to show that these systems can work together in one package. From its ease of set up, to being self sustaining, while also providing comfort to its occupants. These were the goals we wanted to achieve when creating CASA.
